This is a hatha yoga class that is designed for someone new or experienced. Each class is in the style of flow, connecting breath and movement at the same time. A flow class helps to build heat and energy in the body through various sun salutations and proper alignment for your body. This type of class is great for those wanting to reduce stress while building strength and stability in the body.
Chair yoga is a great way to keep the body moving while building strength and stability. Emphasis on breathing and gentle movements while seated on the chair or using the chair in standing poses. Chair yoga is wonderful way to build strength, encourage healing and create relaxation. This class is intended to any age and physical abilities.
Therapeutic yoga class is a very slow and gentle class. This is a class designed for people who want to explore their own embodiment and learn to feel the body's response to movements. This class is great for those new to yoga or people who suffer from an injury or health condition that normally affects how the body moves and feels. A variety of props including chairs will be available to support the practice.
This 60 minute class is designed to create lubrication in the joints through gentle hatha yoga movements. Connecting breath with slower dynamic flows until we come to stillness in a yin/restorative practice. Yin/restorativ practice encourages a calming of the nervous system which helps with elevating our mood and better sleep. Props and support are provided to help soften the body into the practice giving space and time to explore our own embodiment.
This is either a private 1 on 1 yoga class, designed to meet your personal needs in your yoga journey. These classes are designed to cultivate curiosities and explore possibilities in your own yoga practice.
Lisa has completed her two years of study of Yoga Therapy at The School of Embodied Yoga Therapy in Ottawa and is accepting clients to complete her 210 hour practicum.
